The exclusive medial college for girls Nawabshah came into existence in April 1974 and named as PEOPLES MEDICAL COLLEGE, updated about 3500-lady doctor has been graduate.
Initially, the college was temporarily housed in portion of District Council High School consisting of a couple of hostels and an auditorium (9-Latif Hall) along with the main building of Muslim Boarding House. The first batch admitted with an approximate enrollment of about 200 students. Soon after the District Hospital was attached to the college for the purpose of clinical teaching.
The college was since then made to progress in different phases, many more buildings having been added both to the college and the attached hospital.
