This institution was, at first, established in Bahawalpur in September 1956 to
share the training workload from the Central Training College Lahore, now UE,
Lower Mall Campus, Lahore. The College was shifted to Multan in 1963. In 2002,
the college became a constituent of the University of Education.
This University campus has been preparing secondary school teachers and supporting
staff development initiatives of the Government. of the Punjab in a large part
of southern Punjab.
