SSUET is planing an Information and Technology Park project. A worker of the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology told on
10th april 2011 to media that the project would cost Rupees seven hundered million and complete in 3
years time. Project Director Yahya Waliullah said the park would also be
open to private sector for software development, business process
outsourcing, establishment of call centres, technical support centres,
hardware development and research centre, telecom technology development
and research, training and development centre etc. This will also be open
to all academic institutions in the area and in Karachi for advisory
services to private sector.
The SSUET has acquired 200 acres of land in
Education City on link road of Super and National Highways. The project
director said that on completion, the park would play a vital role in the
development and growth of IT and IT enabled services. app
