FBISE Announces Matric Result 2021

The federal board of intermediate and secondary education has announced the matric result 2021. According to the statement provided by the board officials, 111,306 candidates have passed the annual exams. The candidates that had appeared in the annual exams of matric can check their results by sending the SMS on 5050 through their registered mobile numbers. The first position in the Science Group has secured 1098 marks while the second and third position holders have attained 1096 marks and 1095 marks respectively. In the humanitarian group, the first position holder has secured 1092 marks while 1090 marks and 1089 marks have been gained by the second and third position holders respectively.

Earlier the federal board had announced the result of the intermediate annual exams 2021 on 27th September 2021. Due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the board authorities had conducted the annual exams of the elective subjects and the result was prepared by considering the promotion policy approved by the federal government. FBISE had also arranged the prize distribution ceremony for the position holders. Moreover, the ceremony was also attended by the federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood. According to the board authorities, 81,988 candidates had appeared in the annual exams of intermediate and the passing percentage was 99.89%.

According to the decision taken by the federal government, the FBISE has passed the students who failed in the exams by awarding them 33% passing marks. Moreover, it has been said that it remained difficult for the government to open the educational institutes during the time of the pandemic to complete the course work of the students before the commencement of the exams. The educational institutes could remain open only for few months due to the lockdown imposed by the government. It has been furthermore added that the results of the matric and intermediate have been declared in consultation with provincial governments and other educational boards across the country.
