Shafqat Mahmood Directs The Students To Revise Their Courses In Vacations
All the educational institutes across Pakistan have been closed down due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The federal minister, Shafqat Mahmood along with the other inter-provincial education ministers took the decision to shut down the institutes from 26th November to 10th January during the meeting of the National Command and Operation Center. The announcement was made due to non-compliance with the SOPs by the educational institutes. Moreover, according to the data provided by the health department many students were infected from the coronavirus. The schedule for the online classes was announced and the authorities informed the schools to take the regular classes as per the schedule. It was declared that all the students will attend the online classes till 24th December and afterward the winter vacations will start. The review session of the concerned authorities will be held in the first week of January to monitor and discuss the situation of the pandemic.
Statement of Shafqat Mahmood
Shafqat Mahmood took his Twitter and stated that Pakistan’s educational institutes had to be shut down due to the rapid transmission of the deadly virus. He said that the decision about the closure of the schools was taken by considering the situation so it is requested to all the students to utilize this time properly and revise their study courses to prepare for the annual examination. The minister advised the students to continue with their studies and do not use this time period as a holiday.
Online Mode of Education
While discussing the academic situation Shafqat Mahmood pointed out the schools were not shut down as the students will learn from home. The need of the hour is to opt the online mode of education to save the precious time of the students. In case the students remain unable to take online classes then they will be called once a week to submit the homework.
