Sindh Closes Schools, Colleges, and Universities Due To Coronavirus Pandemic
The Sindh education minister, Saeed Ghani has announced to close the colleges, schools, and universities due to the increase in the number of cases of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the statement issued by the education minister, the educational institutes across the province will remain closed till 31st July 2021. The decision had been taken in the province’s Coronavirus Task Force meeting after reviewing the ongoing situation of the COVID-19. The minister has imposed the restrictions on the other activities as well to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The officials have instructed the public and private universities to suspend the on-campus activities and take online classes to teach the students. The educational institutes have been closed, so the students get confused about the commencement of the annual exams.
Annual Exams 2021
The education minister has clarified that the annual exams will be conducted according to the issued schedule and there will be no delay in any case. The matric annual exams had already started from 5th July and after the completion of the matric exams, the intermediate exams will begin. According to the announced examination schedule, the annual exams of the intermediate part 2 have been started from today whereas the annual exams of intermediate part 1 will be started from 7th August 2021.
Instructions
As per the decision made by the government this year, the students will appear in the exams of the elective subjects and practical exams will not be conducted. The education minister has said that the exams will be based on the smart syllabus and the duration of each paper will be 2 hours.
