Government Set Up Online Portal To Check SOPs Implementation At Schools

The Punjab government has established the online portal to check the COVID-19 SOPs implementation at the schools. Through the central portal, the authorities will get a report from all the schools located in the province. Each school is provided with the login profile and the head of the school will submit the report daily at 11 am. The training will be given to all the teachers to ensure the implementation of the standard operating procedures and to minimize the risk of infection. At the district level, the district education officers have been made focal persons to handle all the issues. The necessary details will be handed to the officers through the online training. 

Rumors About Closure of Institutes

It is pertinent to mention here that after the lockdown was enforced in March, the institutes were opened on 15th September to resume the educational activities. The second wave of the pandemic has hit the country as the increases in the coronavirus cases have been reported. The education minister, Murad Raas has clearly stated that schools will remain open as the authorities have not decided to close the schools. The students should not pay heed to the fake news regarding the closure of educational institutes.  The government has established the sub-working group to control the coronavirus and devise preventive measures to fight the smog. Punjab government has also announced to launch the mobile app to monitor the situation of coronavirus in schools. 

Implementation of SOPs

To curb the spread of the coronavirus, previously SOPs had been issued for the students. It is informed to the students to wear masks, maintain social distancing while attending the schools. Apart from this, the monitoring committees are also visiting the schools from time to time to ensure the proper implementation of the SOPs.
