Karachi University Postpones B.Com Exams Due To Third Wave of COVID-19

Karachi University has postponed the annual examination of B.Com part I and part II due to the third wave of coronavirus. In this regard, the university has issued the notification and informed the candidates that in light of the ongoing situation the exams could not be commenced as per the announced schedule. The university authorities have taken this decision for the safety of the students and the teachers so the candidates are advised to wait for the revised exam schedule. Although it is pertinent to mention here that the university has not declared the new schedule for the commencement of the exams but it will be notified soon. Till then the students are instructed to be patient and prepare for the exams. Earlier the university had announced to conduct the exams from 22nd March 2021 but now the paper will be held according to the new exam schedule. 

The Decision of the Sindh Government

The Sindh education minister, Saeed Ghani has said that educational institutes in Sindh won’t be closed and the schools will follow the 50% attendance policy. He clearly stated that there is no need to close the schools again across the province as the situation of the coronavirus is better in Sindh as compared to Punjab and Balochistan. So the students are advised to attend the schools and follow the SOPs devised by the government. 

Closure of Educational Institutes

After the meeting of the national command and operation center the education minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood had declared that the educational institutes in Punjab will remain closed from 15th March 2021 to 28th March 2021. Moreover, the Punjab education minister, Murad Raas has notified the public and the private institutes to hold the scheduled exams till 19th March 2021. The educational institutes will be completely closed afterward. The school education department has issued the notification in this regard to inform the concerned authorities about the decision of the provincial government.
