PMC Extends Registration Date of MDCAT 2020
Pakistan Medical Commission has extended the date of the registration for the national MDCAT 2020. Previously PMC had announced that the students have to submit the registration form up to 2nd November. According to the latest news, the date has been extended till 6th November. This decision has been taken by considering the ongoing conflict as the Sindh government has opposed the PMC to conduct the MDCAT at the national level. The health minister of Sindh has demanded to hold the MDCAT at the provincial level according to the curriculum of the affiliated boards. The syllabus of the intermediate is not the same at the federal level so national MDCAT will put the students at disadvantage. The hearing on the National MDCAT has been adjourned by the Sindh High Court till 3rd November.
Registration of MDCAT
For the registration process, the students have to submit the online application along with the paid fee challan. Without the registration, the students will not be allowed to take the MDCAT. The students belonging to different provinces of Pakistan can register themselves through the online portal. The fee of the MDCAT registration is Rs.1500/- that should be submitted in any branch of HBL, MCB, or ABL before the deadline. The forms received after the due date will not be entertained by the authorities in any case. It is informed to the students that the submission of the fake documents will result in the blacklisting of the candidates. So enter the accurate information required in the registration form.
Date of Entrance Exam
The date of the MDCAT exam will remain the same and the test will be conducted on 15th November across Pakistan. MDCAT is conducted once a year to allow the students to take admission in the medical and dental colleges. This year as per the instructions of PMC, the National University of Medical Sciences holds the administrative power to conduct the medical entrance exam.
