PMC Says The Medical Admission Schedule Will Remain Unchanged
Pakistan medical commission has announced that the admission schedule of the MBBS and BDS programs will remain changed. The authority has also directed the University of Health Sciences and the government of Punjab to follow the provided schedule. As per the PMC, the deadline to apply for the medical admissions is 22nd January 2021 and officials have clarified that the due date will not be altered in any case. Moreover, the admissions of the private medical colleges will take place from 24th January to 22nd February and the extension in the due date will impact the students who intend to apply to the private medical and dental colleges.
UHS Admission Schedule
Earlier the University of Health Sciences had announced the admission schedule of medical and dental colleges in Punjab. The online registration will start from 11th January 2021. And the last date to submit the application form is 22nd January 2021. According to the UHS eligibility criteria that students that have secured at least 65% marks in FSc (pre-medical) and 60% marks in the national MDCAT 2020 are eligible to apply. Afterward, the merit list of the selected candidates will be issued and classes will be commenced from 1st March 2021.
MBBS and BDS Admissions
PMC has appreciated the support of the Balochistan, Federal, and Sindh governments for following the MBBS and BDS admission schedule announced by the PMC. Moreover, in compliance with the directives issued by the commission, the KP government and the Khyber Medical University have amended their previously issued schedule. Now it is informed to the students that the last date of admission to submit the application form in the public medical and dental colleges is 22nd January 2021. There is no chance to delay the admission process in the Punjab and the other provinces. The medical commission has stated that all the provinces must follow the guidelines issued as no exemption will be provided. There are thousands of students that have been waiting to learn about the results of their applications for the public seats so that they can consider the option of private medical and dental colleges.
