Private Schools To Be Reopened From 11th January

The private schools association after the meeting has announced to reopen the private schools from 11th January. The PSA took the decision without waiting for the order of the government regarding the reopening of the institutes and the members further added that the policy for the reopening of the schools will be finalized soon. According to the association, despite the situation of the coronavirus pandemic the schools will resume their academic activities after the 10th of January. The authorities warned the government to not the strict action against them as they will not agree with the government to extend the closure. 

Closure of Schools

As per the statement issued by the Pakistan schools association, due to the closure of the educational institutes the students are facing a huge academic loss. The members also said that everything else is open beside a consistent increase in the coronavirus cases so the government should also reopen the institutes. Previously the government had announced to provide interest-free loans to the private schools that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The committee ensured the government that there will the proper implementation of the SOPs and the students will follow all the precautionary measures. So the government should allow to open the schools from 11th January as the extension in the closure will not be accepted by the private schools association.

Decision of Government 

In November after the meeting of National Command and Operation Center had announced to close the schools till 10th January due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the instructions issued by the Federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood all the educational institutes including schools, universities, tuition centers, and colleges of Pakistan will remain closed from 26th November and the winter break will be started on 24th December. It was stated that the government will analyze the situation of the coronavirus in the first week of January to take further decisions. After the 15th of January, all the postponed exams will be rescheduled after reviewing the situation.
