Punjab Boards Announce Revised Schedule For Matric and Intermediate Annual Exams 2021

Punjab boards have announced the revised schedule for matric and intermediate annual exams 2021. The meeting of the Punjab boards committee of chairpersons was held in which it had been decided to hold the exams according to the new schedule. The exam schedule has been issued for all Punjab boards that include BISE Lahore, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Multan, BISE Faisalabad, BISE DG Khan, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Sahiwal, BISE Sargodha, and BISE Bahawalpur. 

Revised Exam Schedule

According to the revised exam schedule, the annual exams of matric will be conducted from 25th May 2021 and the annual exams of intermediate will be held from 3rd July 2021. The expected dates for the announcement of the matric and the intermediate results are 21st September 2021 and 20th October 2021. Previously PBCC had issued the schedule but due to the third wave of the COVID-19, the exams have been delayed. The Sindh government has also issued the schedule for the commencement of the annual exams of SSC and HSSC.

Delay In Exams

This year the annual board exams of matric and intermediate got delayed due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Generally, the Punjab boards hold the exams in March and April but for academic session 2021, the exams will be conducted in May and July. The candidates who intend to appear in the board exams are informed to check the schedule provided by the board authorities to prepare for the exams. Earlier the meeting of the national command and operation Centre was held after which the federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood had announced that the educational institutes will remain closed in the coronavirus hotspot areas till 28th April 2021 for students of grade one to eight. However, the classes for the students from 9th to 12th grade will be resumed from 19th April for the completion of coursework before the exams. The minister also advised the students to prepare for the exams as this year no student will be promoted without the exams.
