Punjab Education Boards Announce No Practical Exams For Academic Year 2021

Punjab Education Boards announced that in the academic year 2021 no practical exams will be conducted for the students. The candidates of the matric and intermediate will only appear in the theoretical exams. This decision about the exams was taken in the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen meeting. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss and review the decisions of the National Command and Operation Center regarding the closure of the educational institutes across the country. The chairmen of all the nine boards such as BISE Faisalabad, BISE Lahore, BISE Bahawalpur, BISE Sahiwal, BISE Multan, BISE DG Khan, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Rawalpindi, and BISE Sargodha participated and finalized their decision.

Decision About Practical Exams

After the PBCC meeting, the statement was issued by the authorities that said that due to the ongoing situation of the coronavirus the practical exams for the academic year 2021 will not be commenced. Moreover, all the schools, colleges, and universities will remain close after the decision of the education minister, Shafqat Mahmood from 26th November to 10th January. Still the marking criteria have not been announced but the board officials will soon declare the further plans.

Delay In Board Exams

Due to the closure of the educational institutes the education minister has informed that they are considering delaying the annual examination of matric and intermediate as the students need more time to complete the syllabus. For this, the proposal has been sent to the board authorities but no final decision has been taken to postpone the board examinations. It is expected that the board exams will be commenced in June and July and the new academic session will be started in December. To discuss this matter the meeting would be held to pronounce the decision of the board authorities about the schedule of the board exams.
