Punjab Government To Devise Smart Syllabus For Intermediate

The Punjab Higher Education Department has announced to reduce the syllabus for the annual examination of intermediate 2021. Previously the authorities devised the syllabus for the matric and now the government has made a committee under the supervision of the managing director Punjab Textbook Board. Now the selected committee will work on the smart syllabus. The suggestions will be then forwarded to the Punjab Government for their implementation.

Purpose of Smart Syllabus
The COVID-19 has deeply affected the academics of the students as almost half a year has been over and the candidates are left behind from their usual schedule of the studies. This decision has been taken for the convenience of the students so that the burden of the studies can be minimized. The syllabus of the intermediate is quite lengthy as it comprises various subjects that require maximum time for the preparation. It is not possible for the students to cover the whole syllabus for the annual exams in less time.

Serving Schools Association
The president of Serving Schools Association, Mia Raza-ul-Rehman has said the smart syllabus will assist the students and they will be able to prepare it efficiently as it will contain only specific topics. Furthermore, he appreciated the Minister of Higher Education, Raja Yasir for their efforts to implement this plan.
