Shafqat Mahmood Orders Consultation of All Stakeholders in National Education Policy 2021

The federal minister for education and professional training, Shafqat Mahmood has ordered the consultation of all stakeholders in national education policy 2021. Currently, the government is working on a new policy for the new academic year. As per the announcement made by the federal education minister, a meeting was held in which the ministers had briefed about the ongoing process of consultation and recommendations on the national education policy. During the meeting, it had also been directed to all the affiliated authorities to ensure that the policy will be designed on the basis of the extensive consultation. According to the 18th amendment in the constitution, education has become the provincial subject so it is the right of the provincial governments to provide recommendations on the new reforms. 

In the last year, it had been announced that the education ministry started to formulate the education policy for Pakistan for the next academic year. The education minister added that the government has started various new initiatives to facilitate the students. Earlier the government had declared to introduce the single national curriculum in all the public/private schools and seminaries. He added that it was necessary for the implementation of the unified syllabus to provide better facilities to the students. So it has been notified to the concerned officials to provide the suggestions in this regard. 

The prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has also said that it is necessary for the introduction of the uniform education curriculum to eliminate discrimination among the students. Moreover, it is the right of each student that to get a better education because the success of the education system depends upon the selection of the staff and providing quality education to the students. By the introduction of the new policy, the students will be able to get a quality education in Pakistan. The uniform education system is a great initiative taken by the education ministry that will set an example for the other countries as well.
