Sindh Education Minister Announces To Hold Matric and Intermediate Exams in July-August

Sindh education minister, Saeed Ghani has announced that the annual examination of matric and intermediate will be commenced in July-August. According to the announcement made by the minister the board exams of matric will be conducted from 1st July to 15th July 2021 whereas the intermediate exams will be commenced from 18th July to 16th August 2021. It has been also stated that the exams for the pre-primary to class eight will be held in the month of June. Earlier the meeting of the national command and operation center was held in which it had been proposed to hold the SSC and HSSC annual exams in May/June. 


Sindh Education Department 

The Sindh education department has also decided to minimize the time of the exams from 3 hours to 2 hours. The meeting of the education department was held afterward it had been announced to open the schools and the universities of Pakistan from 1st February 2021. The educational institutes across the country will be reopened after the two-month break. The education minister further added that the practical exam will be conducted before the theory exams in the month of June. The new academic year 2021 will be started from 2nd August. To reduce the risk of the spread of the coronavirus the schools, universities, and colleges of Pakistan will ensure the strict implementation of SOPs. The summer vacation will be announced for only one month this year in July. 

Paper Pattern Of SSC and HSSC Exams

Saeed Ghani has also said that in the meeting the paper pattern for the annual exams of SSC and HSSC has been decided. As per the proposed paper pattern, half of the paper will consist of multiple-choice questions (objective portion) while 30% will consist of short questions and the remaining 20% of long questions. The minister stated to delay the exams of matric and intermediate for one to two months so that the students can complete their course work. This year the students have to appear in the board exams to get promoted to the next grade.
