AIOU To Offer Free Education To Students Of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Balochistan

Allama Iqbal Open University has announced to offer free education to the students of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Balochistan. The decision will be implemented from the spring semester of 2021. The main purpose is to facilitate the students so that they can avail the opportunity of free education and continue to study without facing any financial issues. The free matriculation education will be offered and as per the statement of the AIOU Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr. Zia Ul Qayyum this initiative will educate the students and they can earn their livelihood. The awareness campaign will also be launched in the areas of KPK and Balochistan to make the people aware of this education facility. In this way, no one will be deprived of the basic right to get an education. 

The VC further said that equal educational opportunities should be provided to the residents of all the areas of Pakistan. In this regard, the AIOU is playing a significant role to educate the students of the underprivileged and marginalized areas of the country. As per the directives issued by the Director of Admissions, Mian Muhammad Riaz, AIOU will commence the admissions for the various degree programs offered in the spring 2021 semester from 15th January 2021 across the country. The students can take the admission in the matriculation, intermediate, Bachelors, MS/M Phil and Ph.D. University has dispatched the admission forms to all regional offices in an attempt to offer admission facilities to the students of the nearby areas.

The candidates who intend to apply in the announced admissions can get the admission forms from the regional offices and they can also submit the online application form through the AIOU web portal. Allama Iqbal Open University will issue the admission details and the guidelines that must be followed by the students in order to secure admission. According to the university officials, the advertisement for the new semester will be provided soon by the university.
